Dr Ganesh Kasinadhuni
Dr. Ganesh Kasinadhuni is a highly skilled Interventional Cardiologist with an outstanding academic career. He graduated from the famous, PGIMER, Chandigarh (institute of national importance) in 2014. He completed his DM Cardiology training from the same prestigious, PGIMER, Chandigarh. After completing his speciality training, he practised as an interventional cardiologist [who does coronary angiograms and treats the coronary artery blocks (blocks in the arteries of the heart) with stents] in Visakhapatnam.
In pursuit of excellence, he once again moved to PGIMER, Chandigarh, and worked as a senior research fellow for a period of 2 years. During this tenure, he pursued training in special procedures to treat multiple critical blocks in the coronary arteries with stents and hence avoiding a bypass surgery (open heart surgery). These include rotational atherectomy (rotablation) and orbital atherectomy, left main stentings, bifurcation and chronic total occlusion (CTO) stentings. He also specialized in advanced intravascular imaging techniques that include OCT and IVUS which helps to guide complex stenting procedures and achieve good long-term results. During this period, he also published more than 50 research papers. He worked as an investigator in clinical trials and as a co-investigator in the landmark ILLUMIEN IV randomised international trial which utilised OCT imaging.
Dr Ganesh Kasinadhuni, also specialised in treating narrowed arteries at locations other than heart (endovascular procedures). He performs stenting for blocks in the arteries of neck (carotid stenting), upper limb (brachiocephalic and subclavian stenting), abdominal arteries (coeliac and superior mesenteric stenting) and lower limb arteries (iliac, femoral and below knee angioplasty). He also successfully performed complex aortic stent graft procedures (TEVAR and EVAR) for thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms.
Dr Ganesh Kasinadhuni, is an invited national faculty at various prestigious national conferences to chair academic sessions and present the challenging complex stenting procedures which were successfully performed by him. He also presented complex stenting procedures performed by him at various prestigious international conferences in USA (TCT, 2024) and France (EUROPCR, 2024). He continues to pursue his academic interests by working as an assistant professor in GITAM Medical College, Endada, Visakhapatnam.
